01 / Simulation

What if you had ₹5,00,000 to change something?

Students work in teams of three and receive a budget of ₹5,00,000 to develop a solution to a real social problem.

But there's a catch - a great idea isn't enough.

1

The Brief

Every team receives the same fixed budget. The challenge: use it wisely.

2

Find the Problem

Identify a real, verifiable social problem - with an actual beneficiary, location and evidence.

3

Design the Solution

Develop a practical intervention within ₹5 lakhs: problem, solution, budget, execution.

4

Make the Pitch

Present to a panel of school, SWIS and UNISON reps - defend research, evidence and impact.

5

We Test the Idea

Projects are evaluated based on need, evidence, feasibility, cost-effectiveness and scalability.

6

Only the Best Move Forward

Only 1-2 of the most feasible projects are selected to move ahead.

From Simulation To Real Impact

The winning idea doesn't stay on paper

Step 7

Validate

SWIS reviews the selected project, verifies requirements, secures approvals and refines the plan.

Step 8

Crowdfund

UNISON runs a school-wide crowdfunding drive across Grades 6-12 to fund the selected project.

Step 9

Raise & Implement

Once the target amount is raised, the project moves into real-world implementation.

Step 10

Measure

What changed? For whom? By how much? Documented, not assumed.

02 / Curriculum × Impact

Reimagining curriculum as a pathway to impact

U/Schoolers helps students connect what they learn in school with real-world challenges - turning academic learning into exploration, action, reflection and impact.

LearnExploreActReflectImpact
CBSE

From classroom learning to community engagement.

Connect experiential learning, values and holistic development with real community challenges - helping students apply what they learn through meaningful action.

ICSE

From knowledge to responsible citizenship.

Move beyond academic learning through research, collaboration and community engagement that encourages students to understand problems and contribute to solutions.

IB

From CAS to real-world action.

Turn Creativity, Activity, Service into meaningful experiences connecting student interests with real community needs, reflection and measurable impact.

IGCSE / Cambridge

From global perspectives to local action.

Take issues explored through learning and investigate them in the real world - researching local challenges and developing practical responses.

What can you do with what you know?

U/Schoolers helps schools create pathways where academic learning doesn't simply prepare students for examinations. It prepares them to participate in the world.

03 / Experience+

Your grades prove what you know. Prove what you can do.

Experience+ is a skills programme for IB, IGCSE, CBSE and ICSE students. Take a live challenge from a social enterprise, shaped by where you want to go.

Build your mission

Choose your curriculum, the career you’re aiming for and a skill that universities and employers value. We’ll compose a live challenge, the question it raises, and your reflection prompt.

I study...

I'm aiming for a career in...

And I want to build skills in...

Your live brief

Engineering & Tech + Data & Digital

A social enterprise working in affordable technology needs you to turn raw usage data into decisions.

You deliver

A dashboard and insight summary

Spreadsheets and dataVisualisationDigital tools

Where it connects

Gives you real material for CAS reflection, TOK discussion and Extended Essay ideas.

The question it raises

Should we build something just because we can?

Your reflection prompt

Where did a technical solution meet a human limit?

Every mission works on three layers.

Real work, real thinking, real self-knowledge.

Skill

You learn a craft, from research to pitching, and apply it straight away.

Story

Your work lands with a social enterprise that uses it. That is your evidence.

Reflection

Each mission ends with big questions that connect your experience to how you think and decide.

04 / Spark Lab

Don’t wait for an opportunity. Start one.

Notice something that needs changing in your school, your neighbourhood or your city. Investigate it, test a response, and build it into something that lasts. You lead. We bring the mentors, partners and platform to help it grow.

How it works

Five stages. You lead each one.

Every initiative moves from a real question to evidence to something someone else can run. Each stage is a decision point, so some initiatives will rightly stop after the pilot.

1

Spark

You

Identify a problem you care about and write your guiding question.

We provide

Idea clinics, a problem-framing guide, an “Is this real?” check.

2

Shape

You

Research the issue, speak to affected people, define how you’ll measure success.

We provide

A mentor, a research toolkit, introductions to people who know the issue.

3

Pilot

You

Run a small, time-limited test with real people.

We provide

Permissions, a safeguarding check, a partner to host or advise.

4

Prove

You

Collect evidence. What changed, for whom, by how much? Reflect on what failed.

We provide

Impact templates, a review panel, written feedback.

5

Scale

You

Grow, replicate or hand over the initiative.

We provide

Partner schools, platforms, a documented playbook, a path to sustain it.

How an initiative grows

From your circle to the wider community.

Not every initiative needs to reach every level. Each step up means more people can run it without you.

Level 1

Your circle

A small test with friends, a class or one community.

Level 2

Your school

Adopted by a club, house or grade, with teacher support.

Level 3

Partner schools

Replicated by other student teams using your playbook.

Level 4

The wider community

Co-run with an NGO, institution or local body, with its own structure.

What scaling support looks like

You bring the idea. We bring the people.

Mentors
Professionals and near-peer guides who challenge your thinking instead of directing it.
Partner network
NGOs, institutions and schools that can host, test or adopt your work.
Playbook builder
Turn your initiative into a documented, repeatable model.
Resourcefulness coaching
Build with what you have: borrowed spaces, volunteers, free tools, in-kind support.
Visibility
A showcase, an online profile and a platform to present to decision-makers.
Continuity
A handover plan so the initiative outlasts your time at school.
How we decide what to back

Six questions we ask every initiative.

Need

Is the problem real, and who is affected?

Evidence

What have you learned from research and people?

Feasibility

Can it work with the time and skills available, and no budget?

Safety and ethics

Is it respectful, safe and consent-based?

Reflection

How are you growing, and responding to what goes wrong?

Scalability

Could someone else run this?

An initiative doesn’t need to be polished to enter. It needs a real question and a willingness to test it.

Get started

Four ways in.

Have an idea?

Submit it in a few lines: the problem, who it affects and what you’d try first.

Have a question, no idea yet?

Join a Spark Lab and explore real community challenges with a mentor until one grabs you.

Want to join someone else’s?

Take a role in a running initiative. You can lead your own later.

Not sure where to begin?

Tell us what you care about and we’ll help you find a starting question.
